Notes:

 

1.  The white board is NOT a whiteboard -- it requires special computer pens; DO NOT use markers.

2.  Students may NOT use computers on substitute days.

3. Lunch time is staggared, so these lessons will include the actual lunch times.

4. Sports students leave by way of the hallway after school to go to sports. All other students use the sidewalk area.

MOTT: My Own Topic Time

Read in your own book. Use two of the reading strategies using the graphic organizer provided. Be specific with evidence (30 read/ 10 write--a) reading strategies and b) MOTT notes).

 

Language of Literature (Green Texts)

Please turn to pages R134-135 in your reading text to review the writing pattern of sequence.  Writing partterns follow certain formats and use certain vocabulary.

Independently: Read R134 for directions, information, and questions on reading/writing to understand sequence. Page R135 is the text to read to answer the questions.

After reading, discuss responses in your reading groups.  As a group, decide on a gist statement of what you have learned.  Each person write it on your papers. Turn in.

Grammar: Blue Write Source -- p. 420 Subject Verb Agreement; Do practice.

Notebooks: N6 Fierce Wonderings -- follow lesson provided with sample on back.

Students try in their own notebooks, or if no notebook on their own paper.
